Reading the “GO BULLDOGS” reminds me of the time we watched the Vikings and Tornado and did the GO, GO, GO Tornado chant because it was such a great sound in the stadium.

One Hydrox is better than two Oreos. The reason the socks went up to one dollar was simple===Like most costs today the price of the product is based more on packaging and labor than the product itself. Trust was something earned and you obviously earned it, similar to the memory I have of Jim Sias leaving me alone with the cash drawer in the lumber yard on more than a few occasions. In looking back I have always wondered if he counted it before and after the first few times. Taking the stores money was something I never even thought of at the time though. The Pamida store in Ark City had a dumb waiter that was previously used to haul candy from the basenent to the candy counter in the “old days”

I am sure it meant a lot to many of the troops to see the support not just from the two of you but all along the way. Television brought the ugliness of battles into our lives later on and removed the fantasy dreams of many little girls and boys. The uniforms were exciting but the reality was more overpowering than the fantasy to me. Gret memory though. Marine uniforms were the best

Never heard you tell about this before but I can remember the love you had for boiled ham sandwiches. Me too though nothing seems to come close now and if I recall it was a delicacy for us when we had it in the house. I do remember the locker plant in Parsons and the block ice dispenser.

This is one that I really didn’t want to tell because I wanted you all to think I never did anything wrong. It is hard to tell kids to behave in school when I didn’t.

I am sure that what you perceive as gross is the frog’s legs jumping in the salt water. It is just their muscles contracting. It was kind of neat, tho’.
